OSA: Drawing 101 Self Directed Study
I’ve decided to open Drawing 101 up to self directed study. The class is 10 weeks long, and the last 3 weeks focus on mixed media. That’s 10 videos that are around 1 to 1.5 hours long, 10 downloadable PDFs, and loads of questions already answered in the class. Loads of images of student work are loaded to the group and lots of interesting conversation. Should you have questions not answered in the current conversations I’m available to help you! Leave a message in the group and I’ll answer you as soon as I can.
To take part in this class you’ll need to sign up at ArtJournaling.Ning.com and pay for the class via the paypal link below. The cost for the class is $35.
Read below for more information regarding the class.
The intention of this course is to introduce you to some basic drawing tools and skill building exercises. I make it no secret that I believe that drawing is something you can improve with practice. Just like exercising a muscle you can exercise your drawing skills.
By gaining knowledge in the use of your tools you’ll have more confidence in your abilities. Drawing is a combination of learning how to properly see what is before you so that you can translate that into an image. You train your eyes to see so that your hand can record. Learning different ways of recording can help you translate what you see to paper. We’re going to focus on that first before anything else. After a few lessons of learning different ways to use your tools we’ll start to look at images to record.
In the message to the seller please make note of your NING ID so I can approve you. You will be automatically redirected to the NING group to request membership. Please allow up to 24 hours for approval.

This is an 8 week course, running through September and October. There will be 2 bonus lessons that focus on using your drawing skills in mixed media. The final supplies listed- the acrylics and watercolor crayons/pencils are optional and are used only in the mixed media portion of the class. For 90% of this workshop we'll be working with pencil.
